William Keehn

Mr. william J. Keehn, 87, died Monday, January 5, 2004 at Auburn Hills Rehabilitation Center. William J. Keehn was born July 15, 1916 at Chicago, Illinois the son of William J. and Caroline Weis Keehn. He married the late Kathleen M. Jones, October 15, 1949 in Chicago. He was a staff assistant for Commonwealth Edison before moving to Mountain Home from Elmhurst, Illinois in 1979. Mr. Keehn was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Alley-White Post #52, Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246 and the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. Survivors: William J. Keehn is survived by 4 grandchildren; Melissa Marselle and Anthony Marselle of Portland, Oregon; Krystal Gunther and Kayleen Teegarden of Mountain Home; one great-grandson, Austin Cody Blount of Mountain Home; one sister, Bernice Bluemer of Tinley Park, Illinois. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother and three daughters, Debbie, Kathy and Kelley. Visitation: Visitation for Mr. Keehn will be Wednesday, January 7, 2004 from 5:00-8:00 PM with a vigil service at 7:00 PM at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home. Funeral: A funeral mass for William J. Keehn, 87, of Mountain Home will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 8, 2004 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Reverend Stan Swiderski as celebrant.Military honors will be provided by North Central Arkansas Veterans Council with American Legion Alley-White Post #52 as honor guard. Burial: Entombment will be in Kirby’s Tucker Memorial Mausoleum with American Legion Alley-White Post #52 past commanders serving as pallbearers. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
