William “Bill” C Elliott, age 78, passed away peacefully at his home in Arkansas on February 10, 2026, with his wife by his side. He was born to Charles and Elizabeth Elliott on March 25, 1947 in Hammond, Indiana.

He received his Bachelor of Arts in 1988 from Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota and his Master of Science in 1991 from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He enlisted in the MN National Guard in March of 1967 In 1970 he attended officer’s training at Ft. Benning, Georgia, and received his officers commission as Firs LT, Signal Corps. He then transferred to the US Army Reserve and received an honorable discharge on March 8, 1986 as a Captain, Infantry, USAR. His love for the military never ended.
Bill spent most of his career working in the manufacturing field in Minnesota, beginning with 3M in 1972. He moved on to Toro in 1977 where he worked his way up the rank from Business System Analyst to Warehouse General Supervisor to Manufacturing Manager to Plant Personnel Manager until 1990. He then worked for other companies like Nordic Track and Lake Region Manufacturing. In 2003, he started his employment with the United States Postal Service as a City Letter Carrier. He then moved to various positions with the USPS Accounting Service Center.
Bill met his wife, Mary, in 2006 and they married in 2007. After retiring in 2012, he and his wife moved to Arizona to shovel sunshine, not snow. They found themselves surrounded by like-minded individuals, wanting to enjoy the everyday life in an active adult community. Bill, feeling ambitious, decided to work part time. He proudly spent 11 years as an Usher Captain at the Goodyear, Arizona Ballpark for the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Guardians during spring training and other special events he decided to be involved with. He also volunteered for other special events in their community that his wife got him involved in. After visiting a friend in Arkansas in 2023, Bill and Mary decided to move there, embarking on a new chapter in their life.
Bill was known for his quick wit, kindness, helpfulness, generosity and sports knowledge. He enjoyed reading and watching old westerns in his spare time. His passion and faithfulness to the Minnesota Vikings never ended.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and many friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Elliott of Arkansas, two stepdaughters, four children, a brother and their families in Minnesota, and a sister and her family in Texas.
