Viola passed away March 8th, 2007 at Care Manor in Mountain Home under Hospice care at the age of 95. She was born August 8th, 1911 at Merrill, Wisconsin to Theodore and Martha Zahn Weber. She married Lynn Sahlin on November 11, 1939 in Merrill, Wisconsin. She was the secretary for the original Church Mutual Insurance Company in Merrill, Wisconsin and a homemaker. Viola lived in Mountain Home for 33 years, the last 5 years residing at Outlook Pointe, Mountain Home, having moved from Wilmette, Illinois in 1974. She enjoyed playing duplicate bridge with her husband and and many church activities including the Stephens Ministry. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Mountain Home. Survivors: daughter, Candace Peterson and husband Chick of Merrill; one brother Myles Weber and wife Phyllis of West Bend, Wisconsin; 3 grandchildren; Vicki Schmidt and husband Mark of Minneapolis, Minnesota, John Luedtke, and wife Christine of Burnsville, Minnesota; and Tanner Peterson of Merrill, Wisconsin; one niece, Jeanne Meyer and husband Barry of Franklin, Wisconsin and one nephew, Richard Weber and wife Lynn of California. Preceded in Death by: her parents, husband, son, 1 brother and 1 sister Funeral: A Memorial service for Viola Sahlin of Mountain Home will be at 2:00 Friday, March 30th at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Mountain Home with Pastor Kenneth Taglauer officiating.
