Vina "Marie" Penrod

Vina "Marie" Penrod of Midway, Arkansas, passed away November 7, 2024, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 89. She was born February 13, 1935, in Sedgwick, Arkansas, the daughter of Robert and Froney Harney Grimes. She married Joe Penrod on February 15, 1955, in Hernando, Mississippi. The couple made the move to Midway, Arkansas in 1976 from Collinsville, Illinois. Marie cared for the home and spent time traveling with Joe. She enjoyed cooking and watching the birds.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Joyce (Kenny) Bodimer of Mountain Home, AR; grandchildren, Stacie (Randy) Coy of Mountain Home, AR, and Kelly (Doug) Bruce of Midway, AR; and great-grandchildren, Tanner Coy, Hunter Coy, Olivia Coy, and Kenzie Smeja.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

A Graveside Service for Marie will be 3:00 pm, Friday, November 8, 2024, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
