James "Jim" Thomas Parish, a resident of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on January 26, 2026, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, at the age of 69. Born on November 29, 1956, in Denver, Colorado, he was the son of Norman and Cecilia Parish. Jim was united in marriage to Linda Phillips on January 18, 1985, in Denver, Colorado. He proudly served his country as a U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam War, a service that underscored his deep sense of commitment and honor. In 1998, Jim moved to Mountain Home from Denver, where he quickly became a cherished member of the community and actively participated in St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. In his earlier years, he crafted lamps and worked diligently as a technician. He found joy in reading and cherished the serenity of fishing. Known for his competitive spirit, Jim enjoyed maintaining his yard and had a signature knack for playfully interacting with his neighbors by tossing leaves and limbs onto their lawns. Above all, Jim treasured time spent with his family, especially his granddaughter, Chelsea Underwood.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Parish of Mountain Home, AR; his daughter, Desiree Underwood of Mountain Home, AR; his son, Lance (Samantha) Parish of Mountain Home, AR; granddaughter, Chelsea Underwood of Mountain Home, AR; and his brothers, Richard "Rick" Parish and Robert "Bob" (Melinda) Parish, both of Denver, CO, along with several nieces and great-newphes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Cecilia Parish.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate Jim's life will be held at St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church, with Father Norbert Rappold as Celebrant. Military Honors will be provided by the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 and the United States Army Honor Guards. He will be laid to rest at the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
