Thomas "Tom" Michael Newhouse of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away June 23, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 83. He was born October 4, 1941, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Lloyd and Velma Vanne Newhouse. Tom was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam war. He married Princess Garner on February 15, 1990, in Beaver Creek, Ohio. Tom began his 25-year career with AT&T as a lineman until transition into customer service. He lived in Mountain Home since moving from Gun Barrel City, Texas in 2016. He was a dedicated member of the Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Mountain Home and had a deep connection with his church family. Tom enjoyed volunteering at Baxter Health and spending time golfing. He particularly enjoyed going out to eat with friends and family, and spending time in fellowship. Tom adored his cats and loved to feed the deer that visited him every morning.
Tom is survived by his wife of 35 years, Princess Newhouse of Mountain Home, AR; son, Patrick (Toni) Newhouse of Dallas, TX; daughter, Penny (Shannon) Cornelius Newport Beach, VA; sister, Julie; three grandchildren; step-daughter, Melody Woodall; and step-grandson, Spencer Inselmann.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 26, 2025, 1:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service for Tom will begin at 2:00 pm, with Reverend Randy Ludwig officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 Honor Guard. Burial will be Saturday, June 28, 2025, 10:00 am, in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Mabank, Texas.
