Susan Jane Rogers, a cherished member of the Mountain Home, Arkansas community, passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 77. She was born on June 21, 1948, in Iowa to Joseph and Mary Margaret Sinek Vainreb. On June 15, 1974, Susan joyfully married Steven Rogers in Iowa, and together they created a life filled with love and adventure. Susan dedicated over 30 years to a career in education as a special education teacher and consultant, where her creativity and compassion profoundly impacted the lives of her students. In 2004, she and Steven relocated to Mountain Home, where they became active members of the community and attended the First United Methodist Church.

An accomplished quilter, Susan’s talent shone brightly through her many award-winning pieces. She proudly received numerous ribbons, including several "Best of Show" and First Place awards at the Iowa State Fair, showcasing her skills in quilting, smocking, and heirloom sewing. Her passion for sharing her craft and knowledge with others reflected her generous and kind nature, leaving a lasting inspiration on those around her. Additionally, Susan volunteered her time with the Mountain Home Christian Clinic, where her compassionate spirit will be lovingly remembered.

Susan is survived by her beloved husband, Steven Rogers; her brothers, Kevin Vainreb and David Vainreb; her sisters, Kathy (Ben) Ricklefs, Pat (Paul) Faber, Nancy (Ken) Eberle, and Terry Vainreb; sister-in-law, Jeanne Hatcher; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who cherished her deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mary Jo Vainreb.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Susan will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 19, 2026, at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor John Fleming officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mountain Home Christian Clinic, supporting a cause that Susan was passionate about.
