Soria Talbot, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister, passed away on December 22, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 53. Born on August 27, 1972, in Vredefort, South Africa, she was the daughter of Jan and Marie Bredenkamp.
Soria married Grant Talbot on December 16, 1999, in Johannesburg, South Africa. She held the role of Director of Regulatory Affairs at NextEra Energy, demonstrating her dedication and commitment to her profession. In 2021, Soria moved to Mountain Home from West Palm Beach, Florida, where she quickly became involved in impacting the Mountain Home community with the love and message of Jesus Christ to everyone, everyday, everywhere.
Soria will be remembered for her vibrant smile, warmth, and the love of Christ she shared with all those who knew her. She was a devoted mother to her four daughters, Nadia, Bianca, Kiana, and Nicola, and cherished the time spent with her family especially after following the Lord's calling on her life to resign from corporate and come home to be with her children and disciple them.
She is survived by her husband, Grant; her daughters; her mother, Marie Uys of Parys, South Africa; her sister, Christine Steenkamp of Kroonstad, South Africa; and her brother, J.D. Bredenkamp of Santa Barbara, California. Soria was preceded in death by her father, Jan Boshoff Bredenkamp.
A Celebration of Life Service to honor Soria will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 29, 2025, at East Side Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Scott Speer. Burial will be at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery in Mountain Home, Arkansas. In her memory, the family invites guests to wear colorful clothes that will honor Soria's joy and her light that will shine forever.
