Sharon Elizabeth
Black
May 23, 1968 — Jun 24, 2026
Friday
Harmony Free Will Baptist Church
Starts at 5:00 pm
With heavy hearts, we announce Sharon Elizabeth (Havens) Black, whose kindness, strength, and love touched the lives of all who knew her, went home to be with Jesus.
Sharon, beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, completed her earthly journey at her home in Clarkridge, AR, at the age of 58, on June 24, 2026, leaving a profound impact on her family and friends.
Sharon was born in Mountain Home on May 23, 1968, to Steve and Maxine Havens. She attended nursing school after graduating from Mountain Home High School in 1986, eventually changing course and marrying to become a mom. She spent most of her career working for her parents at Havens Heating and Cooling as a dispatcher and bookkeeper. She also spent time in McKinney, Texas, working for her sister’s company in the same role.
Sharon’s favorite past-time was gaming, where she had developed many friendships from meeting people online. She also loved crocheting to keep her busy. Her absolute favorite thing in the world was hanging out with her grandchildren and just being ‘Dewey’. To know Sharon, was to know a person of remarkable kindness, strength, resilience, and love.
She was a kind soul, who would give the world to anyone who required it of her. She had a gift of never meeting a stranger and making everyone who crossed her path feel like family. She fought to live harder than anyone and never gave up on having her mental and physical health back 100%, as she wanted to live her life to the fullest for her children and grandchildren.
Sharon is survived by her parents, Steve and Maxine Havens of Mountain Home; her brothers, Jerry Havens and wife Kim of Crestwood, KY, Preston Havens of Mountain Home, Mark Havens of Mountain Home, Rebekah (Havens) Crawley and husband David of McKinney, Texas; her children, Amber (Black) Goss and TC, and Jayson Black of Mountain Home; her grandchildren, Gavin Goss and Miyah Goss of Mountain Home, and Jayde (Jay) Goss of Cincinnati, Ohio; numerous cousins, including her best friend Sarah (Kobialka) Jones and Russell of Clarkridge, AR, and her aunt Marilyn Kobialka of Clarkridge, AR whom she lived with until her passing. She was also a favorite aunt by far to all of her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Jay Black, her stepdaughter Ashley Black, her uncle Don (Fred) Kobialka and her cousin, Edward Kobialka of Clarkridge, AR.
In lieu of flowers, Sharon would love for donations to be sent to White River Health Stepping Stone, 1710 Harrison St, Batesville, AR 72501, as they were her strength through her years of struggle.
We love you, Sharon. ‘Til we meet again!
A Memorial service will be held at Harmony Free Will Baptist Church, 4076 Highway 201 South, Mountain Home, Arkansas, 72653 at 5:00 pm, July 31, 2026.
