Robert J.
Tomazin, Jr.
Jun 10, 1955 — Sep 9, 2026
Bull Shoals
Robert J. Tomazin Jr., 71, died peacefully at his home in Bull Shoals, Arkansas surrounded by his loved ones.
Survived by his wife Cindy of 48 years; daughter, Lindsay; 3 grandchildren, Devon Zeek and Vance; and sister, Caryn (Brian) and Robin.
Bob loved his family to the fullest. He cherished his close friends and was always there for them. He worked in the construction business with his father most of his younger years. He loved going fishing with his father in Beudette, Minnesota. Watersports were his favorite and cooking. He was named Chicago Bob after his fast-food restaurant started in Bull Shoals Arkansas, the people loved it.
Bob was, in every sense of the phrase, bigger than life. Outgoing, warm, and endlessly friendly, he had the rare ability to make a complete stranger feel as though they had known him for years. He never seemed to meet a person he didn’t like—or a person he couldn’t find something to talk about with. His personality filled a room, but it was his genuine interest in people and the ease with which he welcomed them into his world that made him unforgettable. To know him was to have a story about him, to laugh with him, and to remember him.
While his life took him to Arkansas, his connections to Illinois remained an important part of his story.
Services celebrating his life will be held in Illinois at a later date.
