Richard Lee Dulaney

August 31, 1934 — February 23, 2017

Richard Lee Dulaney was born August 31, 1934 in Wichita Kansas to Austen and Gladys Woolery Dulaney. Richard married Roberta Cummins in Fairmount, Kansas, January 26, 1957. Richard was an eleven year veteran of the Marine Corps, worked at Cessna Aircraft Company as an engineer for five years and then worked for Southwestern Bell/AT&T for sixteen years where he retired in 1989. Richard and Roberta then moved to and settled in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Richard was very active in the North Arkansas Woodcarvers and was instrumental in organizing the Annual Carving Show. He was an active member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church and carved the doors to the sanctuary and the twelve disciples which adorn the sanctuary, among many other carvings he finished.

Richard is survived by his wife, Roberta Dulaney; two sons, Michael (Cindy) and Tim (Robin); one daughter Kathleen (Jeff) Straut; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother Kenneth and one sister Patricia Moore.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a sister.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or the Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday March 3, 2017, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor Lynne O’Shea officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 and the United States Marine Corps Honor Guards.

Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
