Phyllis Lotgering

Phyllis Ester Chase Lotgering was born at the family home in Willowdale township, Dickinson Co., Kansas on December 30, 1933. She was the fifth child born to J. Harvey Chase and Ester Thayer Chase. Phyllis attended school in Talmage and Abilene, KS. She graduated from Abilene High School in 1951.

Phyllis met Gene Elmore Lotgering while she was working at Roar Aircraft in San Diago, CA. They were married in California on May 11, 1962. Two children were born to Gene and Phyllis, Arnold in 1963 and Susan Renee in 1964. Phyllis lived most of her adult life in Southern California but also lived in Washington and Texas. After retiring from North American Rockwell, Gene and Phyllis moved to Arizona before finally moving to Mountain Home, Arkansas in 2002.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her two brothers Morris and Stewart Chase and sisters Marjorie Miller and Irine Jackson. Her two children also proceeded her in death. Arnold in 1963 and Susan in1990. Her husband Gene died in 2012.

Phyllis is survived by her two stepchildren David Lotgering of North Charleston now residing in Tulsa, Ok and Nancy Lee of Collinsville, Oklahoma.

Phyllis died in Yellville, Arkansas on October 22, 2025.
