Opal Houser, 100, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away peacefully, at her home, August 5, 2026.

She is survived by her daughters, Karla and Lisa Houser; adopted daughter, Heaven (Shane) Willhite; adopted son, Ben Woody; step-granddaughter, Izabelle Woody; great-grandson, Spencer; niece, Kenna (Mark) Matsui; nephew, Richard (Debbie) Hillman; and special friends, Sarah and Ron Glenn, and Paul Leicht.

Opal was the beloved owner and matriarch of the Back Forty, affectionately known as Grandma Opal’s Restaurant.

Services for Opal will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
