Oliver Peter Hamblen, 47, passed away on October 5, 2026, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Oliver was born on November 14, 1978, in Del Norte, Colorado, the son of Richard Gene Layman and Mary Louetta Crawley. He was retired from the United States Army as a staff sergeant, serving tours in Bosnia and Iraq. He received numerous medals and awards, including the Army Commendation Medal (4th award), the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, and the Army Good Conduct Medal (4th award).

Oliver was larger than life, both in stature and personality. Always ready with a quick smile, he was known for his infectious sense of humor and the laughter that invariably followed. He was incredibly proud of his children and their accomplishments, and he was fiercely loyal and protective of those closest to him. Oliver was a talented mechanic, and he was always ready with a helping hand. He always had a deep affection for animals and nature, which was evident to everyone who knew him. Always an adventurer, he loved riding side by sides, and he was always up for a game of pool with some of his dearest friends. Oliver, known as “Crash,” was a member of Gunmetal Saints MC as Sr Road Captain and a Regional Liason, and one of his many passions in life was traveling with his wife, Hailey, on road trips on the Harley to visit MC brothers and attend MC functions. Together, they traveled many miles, creating many loving, lasting memories.

Oliver is survived by his wife, Hailey Hamblen of Mountain Home, AR; a son, Ray Torrisi, and a daughter, Jacey Torrisi; his mother, Mary Louetta Crawley; siblings Audrey S Jordan, Verna R (Jordan) Roland, Kieran R Jordan, Kiesha R (Jordan) Myers, Zachary R Jordan, Jaiden R Jordan, and Becky Layman; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and MC brothers.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Gene Layman.

Graveside service will be held at Fayetteville National Cemetery on Friday, October 30, at 1:30 pm. Those attending must arrive at the cemetery by 1:00 pm for entry into the cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the ARNG Honor Guard. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 31, at 314 Pace Place, Gassville, AR.
