Mervyn L. Pugh, 88, of Flippin, Arkansas, passed away April 4, 2026, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born February 10, 1938, in Terre Haute, Indiana, the son of Floyd and Anneva Minor Pugh. He married Sandy Rogers Eimers on November 12, 1982.
Mervyn worked as a truck driver for Leaseway, delivering AC Delco batteries. Following his retirement, he continued working in security at Champion Boats and later at Twin Lakes Therapy and Living. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Mervyn made his home in Flippin after moving from Ontario, California, in 1998. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, watching NFL football, and taking trips to Las Vegas. He and Sandy enjoyed many memorable trips on his motorcycle riding up the coast of California to Pismo Beach.
Mervyn is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Pugh of Flippin, Arkansas; son, Marty Rogers of Flippin, Arkansas; daughter, Marlo Rogers of Hot Springs, Arkansas; adopted daughter, Monya Pugh of Glendora, CA; grandchildren, Josh, Ryan, Summer, Nolan, and Nick; great-grandchildren, Warren, Finn, and Brian; brother-in-law, Rick (Beverly) Eimers; sisters-in-law, Shelley and Sheri Eimers of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Claudia Pugh of New Albany, Indiana as well as several nieces & nephews who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Eugene and Delmer.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 10, 2026, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Kirby’s Tucker Memorial Cemetery in Mountain Home, Arkansas, with officiating. Burial will follow at the cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corps and the Alley-White American Legion Post #32 Honor Guards.
