Margaret Owens

She was born November 5, 1923, at Oak Park, IL, to John and Ruth Bernard Burns. She married Howard L. Owens Sr. in 1943 at Elmhurst, IL. She worked in sales for Marshall Fields for over 30 years and retired from the company. She lived in Elmhurst, IL before moving to Horseshoe Bend in 1998 with her special friend, Richard Moore, whom she met after her husband passed away. She enjoyed gardening, bridge, and playing bingo. She was of the Catholic faith. Survivors: Margaret Owens is survived by special friend, Richard Moore, of Horseshoe Bend, 3 sons, Howard (Barbara) Owens, of Crossville, TN, James (Roberta) Owens, of Carol Stream, IL, and Steven Owens, of Conifer, CO, sister, Ruth McEllen, of Hanover Park, IL, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Howard L. Owens Sr.. Funeral: Memorial services for Margaret V. Owens of Horseshoe Bend, AR will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday May 4, 2007 at St. Mary's on the Mount Catholic Church in Horseshoe Bend with Reverend Kevin Atunzu officiating. Family will be available just prior to the service. Burial: Entombment will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Peitz Cancer Support House.
