Margaret LaFevers

March 13, 1940 — August 31, 2024

Margaret Lou Morrow LaFevers, 84, of Mountain Home, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024. She was born on March 13, 1940, in Yellville, Arkansas, the daughter of Harry and Gladys Doshier Morrow.

Margaret first wed Delmar King, and together they had three children during their 20 years together. Margaret's life was defined by her passion for education and her dedication to her students. Throughout her career, she served as a high school teacher and counselor in multiple schools across Arkansas and California. Her influence extended far beyond the classroom, touching countless lives with her kindness and wisdom. Although she called Arkansas home since 1978, her adventurous spirit led her to live in places such as California, Kansas, and even Turkey, each chapter enriching her experience and perspective on life. In 1992, Margaret wed Richard LaFevers in Yellville, Arkansas. Though she is deeply missed, her warmth, compassion, and laughter will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.

Margaret leaves behind her life partner, Robert Berry of Greenfield, MO; son, Daniel King of Mountain Home, AR; her daughters, Suzan (Kevin) Inskeep of Yellville, AR, and Valerie King Diggs of Mountain Home, AR; her sister, Mary Turan; and her eight grandchildren, Torie, Ethan, Ashley, TJ, Jesse, Chris, Missy, and Emma; and eight great-grandchildren. She is reunited in peace with her husband Richard, her parents Harry and Gladys, and her brother Hollis.
