Lyn Ashton

Lyn Ashton of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on October 18, 2025, in Mountain Home, at the age of 69. She was born on November 26, 1955, in Takoma Park, Maryland, the daughter of Charles and Phyllis Pauly Hornback.

Lyn married Paul Ashton on April 9, 1978, in Riverside, California. She was a dedicated Registered Nurse at Loma Linda University Medical Center and devoted her career to the surgical needs of patients. In 2007, Lyn and Paul moved from Riverside to Mountain Home, where they made their home and shared many wonderful years together.

Lyn had a true passion for travel, visiting 132 countries, all fifty states and territories, and most of the Canadian provinces. She was also an avid scrapbooker who loved preserving memories from her adventures. One of her greatest joys was spending time fly fishing alongside Paul.

Lyn is survived by her husband, Paul Ashton of Mountain Home, Arkansas; daughter, Cassandra (Arnoldo) Rodriguez of Joshua, Texas; sister, Gay (Allen) Dickinson of Mountain Home, Arkansas and grandchildren, Antonio and Airilyn Rodriguez.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Jeffrey Ashton.

A Graveside Service for Lyn will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 24, 2025, at Baxter Memorial Gardens, with Reverend Randy Ludwig officiating.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association or Hospice House of the Ozarks.
