Loretta "DiAnne" Cruse of Midway, Arkansas, passed away May 1, 2025, in Midway, Arkansas at the age of 77. She was born January 2, 1948, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of John and Loretta Kirby Michel. She married Virgil on January 7, 1967 in New Orleans, Louisana and worked as a Teacher for Norfork School District. DiAnne lived in Midway since moving from New Orleans, Louisana in 1974. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Mountain Home for 35 years and was a commander of Kid Royal Rangers, seeing all of her own sons through the curriculum there. DiAnne was a founding member of the Twin Lakes Literacy Council in 1986 and continued working with them for many years to support the community. She was passionate about helping others and volunteered with schools, food bank, churches, Twin Lakes Literacy Council, and Salvation Army. She also became the Salvation Army's first ever paid manager.
DiAnne is survived by her; sons, Virgil "Rocket" (Stephanie) Cruse, Earl (Rebekah) Cruse, John "KC" (Tina) Cruse, Cody (Amanda) Cruse and Bryce Cruse; brother, Louis (Michelle) Favre, fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Linda Chatelain, Johnny Michel, Jr., Larry Michel, Catherine Michel and Karen Schultz.
Visitation will be Friday, May 9, 2025 at 1:00 with a funeral service to follow at 2:00PM at Real Life Church, Mountain Home, Arkansas with Pastor Kyle Tardiff and Pastor Aaron Dickinson officiating. Burial will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
