Born on January 24, 1929, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, he was the son of John and Ida Powell Reubin. Leon cherished his marriage of 75 years to Tommye Parker, which began on July 25, 1948, in Ada, Oklahoma. A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, Leon was a flight engineer on C-124 airplanes serving during the Korean War and continuing till his retirement in 1968. He managed the Baxter County Airport, flew a commercial route between Midway and neighboring cities and was a corporate pilot for many years. He also was an A&P mechanic, taking care of many planes at Baxter and Flippin airports. Leon was an active member of East Side Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and was a deacon. Leon enjoyed late night fishing by the dam on Bull Shoals lake and wading into the White River for rainbow trout. He liked to stay productive and busy, always taking good care of his yard and others.

He is survived by his son, Lindley (Stephanie) Reubin of Lakeview, AR; his beloved grandchildren, Brent (Melissa) Reubin, Laura (Tom) Trent, and Ann Marie (Jared) Lowe; and great-grandchildren, Hannah, Jake, William, Clara, Parker, and Brooklynn.
