Lana Smith

Lana Smith peacefully passed away on June 17 2024, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 70. She was born on July 3, 1953, in Gassville, Arkansas to Abe and Lucille Poynter Griffith. Lana shared her life with Ronald "Ronnie" Smith since their marriage on June 13, 1970, in Gainesville, Missouri. Lana dedicated her career to being a record keeper for Baxter Healthcare and was a cherished member of the Gassville Baptist Church.

Despite facing health challenges towards the end of her life, Lana found joy in various activities such as gardening, playing cards, watching game shows, listening to music, observing birds, and cherishing moments with her family. Lana is survived by her two sons, Ronald Dustin Smith of Midway, AR and William Cody Smith of Centerton, AR; her granddaughter, Keelyn Smith of Yellville, AR; and her sister Anita Osborn of Flippin, AR. Lana now joins her parents; husband, Ronnie Smith; brother, Bill Griffith; and sister, Joyce James in eternal peace. 

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 12:00 pm until the service at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will commence at 2:00 pm on Friday at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, where Brother Gary Wise will lead the service. Lana will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Cotter, Arkansas.
