Karen Sue Perkins of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away September 27, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 71. She was born July 8, 1954, in Washington D.C., the daughter of Travis and Thelma Schneider Williams. Karen dedicated her life to serving others, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in social work from Southeast Missouri State University. Over the course of her career, she impacted the lives of countless individuals and families. Whether working in nursing homes, hospice care, or the hospital, Karen provided compassion and advocacy to those in need. On July 9, 1993, Karen married the love of her life, Jim Perkins. After many years in St. Louis, Missouri, they retired to Mountain Home in 2022. She enjoyed spending time fishing, hiking, and browsing yard sales and flea markets.
Karen is survived by her husband, Jim Perkins of Mountain Home, AR; daughters, Christina Troisi and her husband, Michael Boeckelmann of St. Louis, MO, and Stephanie Earl of St. Louis, MO; two grandchildren, Stephon and Ayrionna; great-grandson, Tyler; brother, Wade Williams; and sister Janet Duckett and her husband, Jimmy Duckett.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Life for Karen will be 2:00 pm, December 12, 2025, at Temple Baptist Church, 1813 Barron Road, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, 63901.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
