Karen Allen

Karen Allen of Midway, Arkansas, passed away August 13, 2023, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 73. She was born February 26, 1950, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, the daughter of Leonard and Betty Jo Duggins Kellem. She married Gene Allen on August 10, 1973, in Colfax, Arkansas and worked at the Baxter Lab. Karen was a lifelong resident of Mountain Home. She never knew a stranger and was always calling to check in on others. She enjoyed gardening, camping, and playing cards. Most of all, Karen loved to laugh with her friends and family. She wanted to see everyone happy. Karen was a proud mother, daughter, and wife.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Allen of Midway, AR; beloved chihuahua, Peppi; sister-in-law, Verlia Allen; niece, Tammy Allen; several aunts and uncles; and a host of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 20, 2023, 1:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, Mountain Home, Arkansas. A Funeral for Karen will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 20, 2023, with Mrs. Charlotte Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Gassville, Arkansas with Danny Holmes, Roger Anderson, Tim Dover, David Dover, Buck Ahrens, Jason Hannaford as pallbearers
