Joyce M. Sturms

Joyce Marie Sturms of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away February 3, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 89. She was born June 25, 1935, in Hillsboro, Illinois, the daughter of Albert and Mary Hlastan Potvin. She spent her early life in Illinois where she worked as an accountant and was known for her attention to detail. Joyce had a deep love for nature and adventure. She enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, and once explored the Great Barrier Reef. A passionate traveler, she explored the United States in her motorhome and ventured abroad to England, Australia, and Egypt. Joyce cherished her pets and always shared her home with dogs and cats.

Joyce is survived by her son, Michael Chada of Bolingbrook, IL; step-daughters, Donna Porter and Judy Negus; sister-in-law, Sandy Potvin; and numerous members of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Robert Chada, Ron Burquin, and Donald Sturms; and brother, Lowell Potvin.
