John Wuthrich

Bull Shoals

John Philip Wuthrich, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024, at the age of 88 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Born in South Bend, Indiana on June 10, 1936, he was the son of J. Paul and Joan Nixon Wuthrich.

John married Suzette Foli, on May 10, 1958, in South Bend. He pursued a career in wood patternmaking, completing a five-year apprenticeship in his field. John worked at City Pattern & Foundry as a patternmaker then held the position of Vice President of Sales, before establishing his own wood pattern shop in 1983. His leadership extended beyond his business as he served as president of the Pattern Makers Union.

In 1996, John and Suzette relocated to Bull Shoals, Arkansas, where John continued to embrace his passions for aviation and the outdoors. A licensed amateur pilot, he was also an avid fisherman, hunter and camper. John shared his adventurous spirit and passions with his friends and family. His love for fishing led him to join the Walleye Club and the Steelheaders Club. John’s generosity and commitment to his community were evident through his active involvement with the Boy Scouts, Civitan Club, Lions Club, Bull Shoals Theater and the Bull Shoals Food Pantry.

John is survived by his devoted wife, Sue Wuthrich; his children, Jeffrey Wuthrich, Lori Wuthrich and John (Marilyn) Wuthrich, all of South Bend, IN; his cherished grandchildren, Penny (Sonny) Camparone, Heather Spiek, Marcus (Kerry) Cossey, Myles (Natalie) Cossey and Mason Cossey; and his great-grandchildren, Dominic Camparone, Holly (Hanna) Lund, Dean Cossey and Kyler & Mac Cossey.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Barbara Doetsch and Juanita Williams.

At John's request there will be no service. He will be laid to rest in Newton Flat Cemetery, Bull Shoals, AR. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Bull Shoals Food Pantry.
