Jimmie Earl Tharp of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away March 2, 2023, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 78. He was born June 3, 1944, in Pensacola, Florida, the son of Jack and Bunny Henry Tharp. He married Karen Holm on February 20, 1982 in Franklin, Arkansas and worked as a Laborer for Magness Oil Company. Jimmie lived in Mountain Home since moving from East Alton, IL, in 1978. Jimmie managed the Junction 14 Truck Stop with wife Karen for years. He formed and was a member of East Alton, IL, Bootleggers Club in 1978. He was a member of the volunteer fire Department in Horseshoe Bend, AR. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and fixing anything you would bring to him. Jimmie loved spending time with family and was known for his jokes.

Jimmie is survived by his wife; Karen Tharp of Mountain Home, AR; sons, Kevin (Sandy) Tharp of Bethalto, IL and Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Pope of Ash Flat, AR; daughters, Jennifer (Brian) Hasselbring of Auburn, NE, and Jaclyn Warren of Flippin, AR; brothers, Jack (Kay)Tharp of Franklin, AR, and Tracy (Janelle) Tharp, Frankfort, IN; sister, Cheryl Colley of Staunton, IL; grandchildren; Jordan, Brittany, Kevin (BK), Michael, Tyler, Billy, Kaylee, Caleb and Becky and nine great grandchildren; special friends, Larry Tubbs, Herb McWilliams and Theron Jones; his constant companions Oscar and Lady Girl.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
