Jane (Martin) Lance, 71, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on August 26, 2026. She was born on October 6, 1954, at Saltzman Hospital in Mountain Home to Dean and Earlene (Wynn) Martin. A proud graduate of Mountain Home High School, Jane found her soulmate early in life, marrying Bobby Lance on his return from Vietnam, on June 9, 1972, in Buford, Arkansas. Over their beautiful 54 year journey together, they built a life centered on love, raising two sons, Michael and Shawn. As the years passed, their family blossomed to include two beloved daughters-in-law and four precious grandchildren who were the lights of her life. Jane’s deep and steady faith was her cornerstone. Baptized in 1974, she remained a devoted and cherished member of the Mountain Home Church of Christ. She loved working with the Joy Bus ministry and participating in youth and family retreats. Jane lived life with a joyful spirit, whether she was out on the water boating, engaging in a game of tennis or ping pong, or dancing to her favorite tunes- from Englebert Humperdinck to Conway Twitty. Her truest passion was her family. She was a natural nurturer, pouring her heart and soul into caring for her children and grandchildren, always ensuring they felt safe and deeply loved. Everyone who visited Jane knew her famous, motherly parting wisdom and humor, "Be careful, it’s a jungle out there" as she hugged your neck and sent you on your way. The blue heart symbol she would always sign every message with is a testament to her loving spirit. And the “Perfect 10” group chat she created, was a digital home filled with lightheartedness and connection that encapsulated her beautiful life well.

Jane is survived by her husband, Bobby Lance of Mountain Home, AR; two sons, Michael (Amy) Lance of Conway, AR, and Shawn (Chrissy) Lance of Mountain Home, AR; and four grandchildren, Gracie, Cody, Cambelle, and Brady. She is also survived by her mother, Earlene Martin; sister, Pamela Cotter; brother-in-law, Donnie (Karen) Lance; and two nieces, Kiah and Lakyn Beard. Jane is preceded in death by her father, Dean Martin.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Kirby & Family Funeral Home, 600 Hospital Drive, Mountain Home, AR 72653. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026 at 9:00 am at Kirby’s Tucker Memorial Cemetery in Mountain Home led by Donnie Lance, Wayne Camp, and Ray Crawford. Pallbearers will be Daniel Lance, Jeremy Lance, Callan Camp, Ethan Wright, Mike Waldon, Landon Pitchford, Kyle Martin, and John Flowers. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Pitchford, Randy McNabb, Leo Fortenberry, Joe Dillard, Jim Estes, Jim Griffin, Darin Hughes, Stan Bridgeman, Jerry Honey and Delbert Dover.

The family wishes to express great thanks to each and every person that supported them and cared for Jane in her final days. They also are grateful for the team at Elite Hospice and Hospice of the Ozarks, and all the medical staff.
