Jack Roland Kunath of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on June 21, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on August 5, 1931, in Iowa to Charles and Genevieve Simmons Kunath, Jack lived a life dedicated to service, family, and craftsmanship.
A proud U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Jack carried the values of duty and commitment throughout his life. He found joy in his career as a tree arborist, a profession that showcased his love for nature and the outdoors. An accomplished woodworker, Jack crafted many pieces that reflected his skill and passion for creating beauty from wood.
On April 2, 1972, Jack married Lynn Strobel, and together they built a loving family, embracing life’s moments in their home. They moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas, from Wheaton, Illinois, 30 years ago, where they created lasting memories.
Jack was a member of the V.F.W. Post 3246 in Mountain Home and enjoyed nurturing his garden, finding peace and fulfillment in his green-thumb endeavors.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Kunath; his daughter, MiLee Kunath; his son, Scott (Patricia) Kunath; his daughter, Holly (Mike) Butler; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, all of whom cherished his wisdom and love. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Chuck Kunath, Robert Kunath, Dewayne Kunath, and Donald Kunath; and one sister, Pinky.
Burial will take place at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Arrangements are entrusted to Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services. Friends and family are invited to share their memories and condolences through the online guestbook at www.kirbyandfamily.com.
Jack will be remembered for his kindness, skills, and the love he shared with those around him. His legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him.
