Harold Leroy Booy of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away October 11, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 88. He was born November 30, 1936, in Sully, Iowa, the son of William and Emily Uitermarkt Booy. Harold married Evelyn VanKalkeren on June 28, 1957, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He worked at Pella Corp. for 23 years as a factory worker. In 1978, Harold and his family relocated from Pella, Iowa, to Mountain Home. They enjoyed a brief period in Arizona beginning in 2007 before returning home to Mountain Home. Throughout his life, Harold was an active member of the Open Bible Church, Pella, IA for 17 years and the Mountain Home First Assembly of God since 1978, where they spent 25 years working with the Assembly of God's RV Maps ministry. He enjoyed scrapping HVAC units and especially loved bowling.
Harold is survived by his son, Wayne (Doris) Booy of Oskaloosa, IA; daughter, Sheryl (Scott) Long of Willard, MO; daughter-in-law, Kim Wallis of Mountain Home, AR; brother, Ray Booy of Malden Bridge, NY; grandchildren, Jen Bailey, Nathan Long, Jeff Booy, Jeremy Long, Courteney Muse, Landon Booy, Caleb Long, Whitney Kilgore, and Jared Long; and 25 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife; brothers, Jim, Arvin, and Alfred Booy; sisters, Marlene Wiener, Janice Rentschler, and Shirley Nichols; and son, Ron Booy.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 15, 2025, 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service for Harold will be 10:00 am, Thursday, October 16, 2025, at First Assembly of God Church, with Reverend Josh Beers and Reverend Timothy Bryant officiating. Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, AR, with Harold's grandsons as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Justin Bailey, Andrew Muse, Alex Kilgore.
In honor of Harold's memory, memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund at the First Assembly of God.
