Gladys Irene Harris of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away November 29th, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 77. She was born April 8th, 1948, in Dora, Missouri, the daughter of Henry and Edna Belcher Smith. She worked as a laborer at Baxter Lab and Stitchco. Gladys lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas after moving from Dora, Missouri in 1969. She will be remembered for her love of thrifting, garage sales, sewing, and her determination that motivated her family. She was compassionate, loving, and strong willed. Gladys was a wonderful mother and grandmother who always put her kids first.

Gladys is survived by her daughters, Stacie Porter of Mountain Home, AR, Krissi Mendoza of Lebanon, MO, and Nikki Archer of Sedalia, MO; her son Gregory Harris of Plato, MO; her grandchildren, Brittany Dwyer and Ashley Dwyer of Mountain Home, AR, Phenix Beard, Jazzlyn Beard, and Zayla Beard, Cameron Gattis and Kayden Gattis of Sedalia, MO; great-grandchildren, Shaylee Biggerstaff, Jasper Biggerstaff, Kayden McCollum and Gamble Sebold of Mountain Home, AR.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Edna and Henry Smith; her brothers, Roy and Troy Smith; her sisters, Almedia Partee, Loretta Merriman, and Faye Wake; her husband, J.D. Harris; and her son, Jim Harris.

A Private visitation was held for her family.
