Francis “Frank” Raphael Odya, age 77, of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, passed away on January 5, 2026, in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Frank was born on May 11, 1948, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Ralph and Mary Aliota Odya. He married the love of his life, Dawn Kastendieck, on July 3, 1970, in Milwaukee, and together they shared more than 55 years of marriage.
Frank worked as a welder for 30 years at the AO Smith Automotive Plant, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He proudly served his country as a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
In 2018, Frank and Dawn made Bull Shoals their home after moving from Casa Grande, Arizona. Music was a lifelong passion for Frank - for 27 years, he was the lead singer in two different bands, bringing joy to audiences and fellow musicians alike. He also loved the outdoors and could often be found golfing, hunting, or fishing, enjoying the simple pleasures of nature.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Dawn Odya of Bull Shoals, AR; his sons, Adam Odya of Lakeview, AR, and Alan (Lisa) Odya of Oconomowoc, WI; and his cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Anthony, Joseph, and Emily Odya. He is also survived by his sisters, Vicki (Jim) Haberle, Mary Ellen (Jim) Rentscher, and Janine Holblad; his brother, Ralph (Diane) Odya; his great grandchild of the heart, Emily Balisteri; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Stanley, Gracelyn Odya and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Calvary Temple Assembly of God, with Pastor Kyle Tardiff officiating. Military Honors will be provided by Hoevel-Barnett Post #1341 VFW.
