Elsie R. Anderson of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away October 6, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 92. She was born April 7, 1933, in Plainfield, Illinois, the daughter of Harvey and Annie Hardekopf Thurow. She married Robert D. Anderson on April 7, 1956, in Aurora, Illinois. She spent many years working as a hairdresser. Elsie lived in Mountain Home since moving from Oswego, Illinois in 1992. Elsie enjoyed gardening and buying and selling antiques. She held a special love for Schnauzer dogs. She was a member of the Twin Lakes Baptist Church and especially enjoyed serving in the kitchen at church. Elsie had a strong faith and loved the Lord. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16 KJV).

Elsie is survived by her son, Richard (Becky) Anderson of Rapid City, SD; daughter, Sandee (David) Jordan of Rio Rancho, NM; grandchildren, Steve Jordan, DeAnna Jordan, David Jordan, Jeremy Anderson, Heidi Snider, Bethany Bennett, Nathan Anderson; and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Roy and Marvin Thurow; and sister, Elizabeth Bornemann.

A Celebration of Life for Elsie will be 3:00 pm, Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Twin Lakes Baptist Church, with Dr. Pastor Sam Bailey officiating. A private family entombment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, AR.

Memorials may be made to Twin Lakes Baptist Church.
