Elizabeth Ann Stover-Wyatt, 65, of Kearney, Missouri, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, at 1:14 p.m. A memorial service will be held at a later date for immediate family.

Ann was born on April 7, 1960, in Asheville, North Carolina. From an early age, she possessed a bright, intuitive spirit—extroverted, adventurous, and deeply kind. Her warmth and genuine care for others made her a comforting presence, and many would say her ability to celebrate the successes of those around her was unparalleled. She had a tender soul, a brave heart, and a dynamic personality that drew people in effortlessly.

A lifelong learner and passionate helper, Ann dedicated her professional life to serving others. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Gerontology from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, completed the Core of Knowledge at Ohio State University, and pursued post-graduate studies in management at Columbus Technical Institute.

Before making her mark in Missouri, she spent 16 years as an Executive Director and Administrator for long-term care facilities in North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, and the Kansas City metro area.

Ann’s proudest professional achievement was her 22 years as Program Director of the Kearney School District’s Kids Club, a before- and after-school program she nurtured from its beginnings. What started in 1998 with two schools and 25 students flourished under her leadership into a thriving program serving four elementary schools and more than 200 students. She treasured the opportunity to support families and work alongside dedicated staff who shared her commitment to children.

More than any career achievement, Ann’s greatest joy—and her proudest accomplishment—was her son, Ethan. She was his constant cheerleader, his biggest supporter, and his steady source of love and encouragement. Ethan often recalled hearing her cheers at his baseball games long before he could spot her in the stands; she never missed a chance to celebrate him.

Ann’s family and friends were the heart of her world. She cherished time spent together, whether during family game nights, decorating the Christmas tree, sharing quiet moments of conversation, or adventuring outdoors. She created memories that her loved ones will hold close forever: reading the Harry Potter series aloud, autocrossing with the Porsche club, hiking and paddling in nature, joyfully taking her first ride on her e-bike with an ear-to-ear smile, and showing up—without hesitation—for anyone who needed her. Her laughter filled rooms, her curiosity sparked conversations, and her gift for language and grammar made her a trusted editor and communicator.

Ann’s hobbies reflected her vibrant curiosity and love for the world around her. She enjoyed genealogy, traveling, photography, reading, and spending time outdoors—walking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, and swimming. Animals held a special place in her heart, especially dogs. Time spent with her beloved dog, Cocoa, and her grand-dog, Apple, brought her endless joy and laughter.

Above all, Ann will be remembered for her radiant smile—the one that lit up her face when she was blazing down a bike trail, exploring nature, or engaged in heartfelt conversation. She had a rare ability to make others feel seen, supported, and loved. Her light will continue to shine in the countless lives she touched.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elizabeth Stover; her brother, John Stover; and her husband, Michael Wyatt.

She is survived by her son, Ethan (Amber) Wyatt; her sister, Catherine (Ron) Martin; sister-in-law, Maggie Stover; niece, Emma Martin; nephews Will (Megan) Stover, Michael Stover, and Elliot Stover; grand-nephew, Henry Stover; grand-niece, Elisabeth Stover; and her significant other, Chuck Millen.

Her legacy of love, generosity, unfailing curiosity, and unwavering support will live on in all who knew her.
