Elizabeth “Betty” Keplinger, passed away on August 8, 2026 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 89. Betty was born on May 27, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to Paul and Augustina Uratiak Michalisko. Betty married Elwood C. Keplinger on October 26, 1957. Betty lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since moving from Chicago, in 1966. She worked as the secretary for their family business, El’s Refrigeration Company. Betty was a loving mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, doing crosswords, canning vegetables, and loved creating beautiful quilts. Betty will be deeply missed by those who loved her.

Betty is survived by her son, Philip (Susanne) Keplinger of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Linda Bunch of Boaz, AL; grandson, Timothy Keplinger of Mountain Home, AR; and nephew, Jim LaPierre of Chicago, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Elaine LaPierre, and Paul Michalisko; and nephew, Steve LaPierre.
