Dorothy Kennedy Boatright was born April 13, 1917, at Cleveland, Ohio, to Francis and Elizabeth (Zippay) Peirman. She married her first husband, James George Kennedy on July 14, 1939 at Covington, KY. They moved to Mountain Home in 1980. After 46 years of marriage, Mr. Kennedy died July 9, 1985. She later married James A. Boatright on October 12, 1994 at Mountain Home. Dorothy was a registered nurse who lived and worked in the Cleveland, Ohio area most of her career. She was an avid reader who enjoyed dancing and socializing. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Survivors: Dorothy Kennedy Boatright is survived by her daughter, Jane (Larry) Kennedy Simmons, of Port Sharlotte, FL, 3 step-sons, James (Sharon) Boatright, of Whiteville, Robert (Linda) Boatright, of Houston, TX, and David (Paula) Boatright, of Whiteville, step-granddaughter, Laurel Boatright, of Houston, TX and grandson, Lance Simmons, of Florida. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents, her 1st and 2nd husbands, and 2 brothers, Frank and Ernie Peirman. Funeral: Memorial services for Dorothy Kennedy Boatright of Mountain Home will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday March 21, 2007 at Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services with Reverend Kenneth Taglauer officiating. Burial: Burial will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
