Donald "Don" Lee Hall of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, passed away May 12, 2026, in Flippin, Arkansas at the age of 88. He was born January 30, 1938, in Joliet, Illinois, the second son of Paul and Marie Goldsmith Hall. Don graduated from Joliet High School where he was the star running back in football. He married and had four daughters. Don was the retail manager of a department store for many years, and eventually owned and operated two stores for a decade. He later owned and operated seven pizza restaurants, two of which he opened himself.

In 1981, Don became an independent insurance agent, selling life and health insurance. He was also a financial planner under AL Williams and Amershire Insurance Companies. Don moved to Florida and while selling insurance, met Charlene. They were married in 1990. She was a devoted wife to him for 36 years - he called her his angel. Later, the couple moved to Mountain Home to take care of his parents. In insurance, Don met Mr. Olson and was invited to Twin Lakes Baptist Church. Don and Charlene became members in 1992. After becoming a deacon, he met Jim in Promise Keepers. This led them to meet Jerry Backus and begin a wonderful friendship. He became Don's mentor and taught him about sharing Jesus without fear. Don held a four week class at Twin Lakes and other local churches. He was a past member of the Chamber of Commerce with his good friends Ron Hladun and Gary Erwin. Don also worked for Excel Phone Company.

From 2000 until 2002, he completed Larry Burkett's Christian Financial Concepts program. Later, with Jerry Strobel he completed Character First, helping cities become a City of Character. He also held classes at Flippin School on the first Monday of each month for the children. While recruiting new agents in insurance, he met Ron Hladun and his wife, Judy. They became dear family friends. Don loved to ride his motorcycle with his wife. They enjoyed traveling together, camping, and going to the lake to spend time on their pontoon. He also enjoyed reading his Bible, and watching a cowboy movie.

Donald is survived by his wife, Charlene Hall of Bull Shoals, AR; daughters, Kathy (Dean) Nenstiel, Donna (Rod) Horton, and Laurie Hall; stepson, Chuck Ulch; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eddie Hall; daughter, Maureen Butler; grandson, Brandon; and great-grandson, Brandon, Jr.

A Memorial Service for Donald will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Twin Lakes Baptist Church, with Dr. Sam Bailey and Brother Jerry Backus officiating.
