David Wayne DeVore, Jr. age 52, of Gassville, Arkansas, passed away on September 22, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Born on October 26, 1972, in Mountain Home, he was the son of David and Geneva Galloway DeVore. David pursued his education at Arkansas State University in Mountain Home, where he earned two degrees. He dedicated 12 years of his life as an assembler at Baxter Lab before transitioning to work at Wide Open Motorsports. A valued member of the River of Life Assembly of God in Gassville, David enriched the lives of those around him, with his kind, loyal, funny, and passionate personality.
In his younger years, David enjoyed various outdoor activities, including deer hunting and fishing. He also had a passion for gardening and cooking. His love for life was evident, especially in the love of his beloved Boston Terriers.
David will be so missed by his many family and friends. He is survived by his father, David DeVore of Gassville; his sister, Tina Ciesielski of Gassville; his niece, Sarah Ciesielski of Gassville; an aunt, Betsy Kellem of Gassville; uncles, William P. (Kathy) DeVore, Jr., of Gassville and Daniel Lee (Carolyn) DeVore of Gassville; an aunt, Joy Galloway of Aurora, CO; and numerous cousins, Rick (Chris) Kellem, Susan (Lyle) King, Daniel Lee (Lisa) DeVore, II, Dennis (Gwynn) DeVore, Jackie (Jamie) Baker, Debbie (Joe) DeAtley, Tammy Galloway, and Theresa Galloway. He was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva DeVore, and his grandparents, William Presley and Mary DeVore and Julius and Mary Galloway.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. A Graveside Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 10:00 am at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Cotter, Arkansas, with Pastor Joshua Passmore officiating. In honor of David's memory, memorial contributions may be made to the River of Life Assembly of God Church in Gassville, Arkansas.
