Daniel Robert Smith, 45, passed away on July 30, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri.

Daniel was born on April 28, 1981, in Kaufman, Texas, to Bobby and Shirlene (Benton) Lane Smith. He built a career at Ranger Boats, where he served as a Lead Production Supervisor and was respected for his leadership and dedication.

Daniel lived life with the volume turned all the way up—literally. If the music was too loud, he'd simply tell you that you were too old. He had a passion for bass competitions and loved the camaraderie of competing alongside his teammates in Seismic Sound. Whether they were chasing the next trophy or simply enjoying the music, those friendships meant a great deal to him.

As much as Daniel loved powerful sound systems, nothing meant more to him than his family. He treasured time spent together, especially loading up for family road trips and creating memories through shared adventures and experiences.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Amber Willoughby; his children, Kari Harvell, Aliyah Disney, Brookeyn Disney, and Hailie Smith; along with many beloved extended family members and friends whose lives he touched from Texas to Montana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Shirlene Smith.

A Celebration of Daniel's Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 2428 Central Boulevard, Bull Shoals, Arkansas. Family and friends are invited to bring a lawn chair and a favorite dish to share as they gather to celebrate Daniel's life in the way he would have wanted—with good food, good company, and plenty of stories. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services, Bull Shoals, Arkansas.
