Charles "Rayford" White, Sr.

Charles "Rayford" White, Sr. of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away April 25, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 89. He was born March 16, 1936, in Saint Joseph, Tennessee, the son of Rochester and Ruby May Stutts White. He married Gloria Powell on August 12, 1961 in Toledo, Ohio. Rayford knew the meaning of hard work and owned and operated Town & Country Builders for over 50 years in Toledo, Ohio. Upon retirement, he moved to Pocahontas, Arkansas in 2015. Rayford made the move with his granddaughter to Mountain Home in 2021. In his younger years he enjoyed boxing and won Golden Gloves in 1957 in Toledo, Ohio. He also enjoyed gardening, farming, hunting, and spending time with family and freinds. He had a deep love for the animals who were companions to him over the years.

Rayford is survived by his children, Charles "Frank" (Kerri) White of Ottawa Lake MI, and Dana Lynn White of Toledo, OH; grandchildren, Angela Wade of Mountain Home, AR, Melissa Cafferty, Valerie White, David McNamera, and Stephanie Nowakowski; and great-grandchildren, Solana Hibbard, Rashell Hibbard, Brandon Wade, Liam Cafferty, Teagen Cafferty, Hudson White, Isaac White, David Sean McNamera, and Lily Nowakowski.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria White; sister, Wilma "Jo" Gerken; son, Charles R. White, Jr.; and son-in-law, Michael David Wade.

A Celebration of Life for Rayford will take place in Toledo, Ohio.
