Charlene Yvonne Stewart, passed away on August 9, 2026 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 92. Charlene was born on August 28, 1933 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Henry E. and Mildred V. Cook Miller. She married Donald C. Stewart on May 26, 1951 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. The couple made Mountain Home, Arkansas their home in 1988 after moving from Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Charlene loved traveling with her husband and was proud to have visited all 50 states. In her free time, she loved to quilt. Charlene was a devoted member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and was involved in the Ladies Guild, Altar Guild, the Stephen Ministry, and Quilters at Redeemer. She was also a member of Gamaliel Fire Auxiliary and GG’s of Gamaliel.

Charlene is survived by her sons, Donald D. (Carol) Stewart of Oak Creek, WI, Dennis S. (Lisa) Stewart of Franksville, WI, and Douglas C. Stewart of Elizabeth, AR; daughter, Diane L. (James) Johnson of Las Vegas NV; grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, Duane, David, Dan, Sam, and Justin (Larissa); and many great-grandchildren.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Duane E. Miller.

A Memorial Service for Charlene will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Reverend Kevin McReynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Maynard Bend Cemetery in Gamaliel, Arkansas.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Church Altar Guild or the Stephen Ministry.
