Billie Josephine Galbraith, 62, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Feburary 17, 2026 following her battle with cancer. She was born on December 6, 1963 in West Palm Beach, Florida. The youngest of 3 to the late William (Pawpaw) Larrabee and Frances Stanley.
Billie Jo had a big heart. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She had a heart of gold. Billie Jo had a passion for fishing. If the weather was right, she had a pole in her hands. She was a great cook, and often baked. She enjoyed playing Bonkos, Cards, and Yahtzee. She also spent time playing horseshoes and cornhole. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She is predeceased by her father, William(1999) and mother, Frances(2010). Also by her step-dad, Hughy (Oppy) Stanley(2013), and her sister, Randi Drew(2014). She leaves to mourn her loving husband, Robert F. Galbraith. Her only child, Peggy Jo Nowling-Barber, and her spouse, Steven Barber. Her grandchildren, Destiny Jo Verge, and Cooper Barber. Survivors also include her big sister, Frankie Groover, and her husband Dan A. Groover. Step-siblings, Chuck and Jennifer Stanley. Nieces and nephews: Misti McClanahan, Amanda Burch, Ashley Groover, Dan Groover, Robin MacCheyne, Mindy Robertson, and Ricky MacCheyne. Along with many cousins, and friends.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. She will return home to Florida and her ashes will be scattered in a private family ceremony at a later date.
