Billie Basinger

Services for Billie Joe Basinger Sr., 83, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be private. Billie passed away March 18, 2012, at his residence in Mountain Home. He was born August 28, 1928, in ,Monroe, Oklahoma, the son of Thomas and Flora May Loyd Basinger. He married Barbara Robertson on March 16, 1988, at Texarkana, Arkansas and worked as a millwrite for The Pine Bluff Arsenal . Billie was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Billie lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1989 moving from Pine Bluff. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed fishing and working with his hands. Billie is survived by 2 sons: Billie (Christie) Basinger Jr. of Flippin, AR; and Lawrence Edwin (Stephanie) Basinger of Southlake Texas, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and one brother Tommy Basinger of Michigan. He was preceded in death by his 2 sons, Robert L. and Lonnie Basinger, his parents and his wife, Barbara Alice Basinger. Burial will be in the East Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Texarkana, AR. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
