Bette “Betsy” Louise Durham, 80, of Lakeview, Arkansas, passed away on May 7, 2026, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born on March 8, 1946, in San Carlos, Arizona, to Sylvester and Louise Stevens Ward.

Betsy married Joe Durham on January 10, 1987, in San Diego, California. She worked as a registered nurse for the University of California San Diego and devoted many years to caring for others through her profession.

In 2004, Betsy and Joe moved from San Diego to Lakeview, where she became an active and dedicated member of the Baxter County Master Gardeners. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends in the Glen Cove Babes, especially during their many shopping excursions together.

Betsy is survived by her loving husband, Joe Durham of Lakeview, Arkansas; one niece; and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Private services will be held. Memorials may be made to the Baxter County Master Gardeners.
