Barbara Susanne Suttles-Woodruff of Lakeview, Arkansas, passed away on February 5, 2026, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 82. She was born September 14, 1943, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Andrew and Leona Schneider Beck.

Barbara spent her professional life in bookkeeping and accounting, retiring after a 40-year career in the field. She moved to Lakeview in 1998 from Dallas, Texas, following her retirement.

She was a devoted member of Christ By The Lake Lutheran Church in Bull Shoals, Arkansas, and was active in church activities at several churches throughout the area. Barbara had a deep love for people and animals alike and was known for her quality friendships and her special bond with her animal companions.

Barbara enjoyed holistic healing and was a Master Reiki Practitioner. She also practiced yoga and lived her life with compassion and intention. She volunteered for 14 years at Baxter Regional Medical Center as a Chaplain’s Assistant and with Hospice, serving others faithfully until her illness.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Layton Woodruff, and her nephew, Jeff Pearson and his wife, Kelly and son, Jebadieh of Layton, Utah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother John Beck and Sister Pat Pearson; her first husband James "Jim" Suttles.

A Memorial Service for Barbara will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Christ By The Lake Lutheran Church, with Reverend Mike Clark officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas in lieu of flowers.
