Austin "Doug" Hall of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, passed away on May 26, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 76. He was born on October 1, 1948, in Sacramento, California, to Austin and Clara (Nichols) Hall.
Doug married Cheryl Harrigan on August 5, 2000, in Lincoln, California. He began his career selling jewelry, later traveling the world as a watch salesman for Seiko USA, before eventually opening his own jewelry store.
In 2024, Doug and Cheryl moved from Roseville, California, to Bull Shoals, where they made their home. He was a devoted member of Gracelife Church in Lincoln, CA, and maintained close ties to his faith and community there.
Doug had a deep love for music and spent many years playing bass guitar in various bands. He also enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family-especially his grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and happiness.
Doug is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Hall of Bull Shoals, AR; his children, Brian Hall and Lisa Glatt; grandchildren, Andrew, Austin, Jacob, Nathan, Zachary, Brandon, Samantha, and Jayson; great-grandchildren, Archer and Makenna; his sisters, Donna Miller and Sandra Hecker; his brother, James Hall; stepchildren, Breanne Miller and Ryan Harrigan; and step-grandchildren, Mel, Kelly, and Sam. All reside in Northern California, with the exception of grandson Zachary, who lives in Oregon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, John Helms.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the couple’s home church in Lincoln, California.
