Audrey Emily Jones, 90, passed away on September 30, 2026 in Salem, Arkansas. She was born on August 13, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to Forrest and Emily Knitter Altenburg. Audrey worked as a truck driver with Worrel Trucking in Missouri for many years, often joking she loved her job as a trucker because it let her visit her family wherever they lived. She married Jack Jones on December 10, 2002 in Henderson, Nevada in a long-anticipated ceremony. Audrey was a well-loved member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for over 40 years. She loved wholeheartedly and often, and especially enjoyed her bingo family, as well as spending time with her large family, often claiming that the laughter of family was her favorite sound.

Audrey is survived by her daughters, Debra Shook of AR, Darlene Sperry of IL, Dawn (Rob) Sperry-Gribben of IL, Patricia Moss of AR, Junebug of IL, Angie (Dave) Ulrich, and Crystal Dieter; sons, Mark (Debbie) Sperry, Scott (Robin) Jones and Ed Mills, Jr; grandchildren,

Angie, Kimber, Desi, Erin, Brandi, Austin, Madison and Morgan; Special nieces Stacy, Rose, and Amy, and nephews Daniel, and Jonathan, Jared, as well as a host of great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; her dear friends, Nora Majors, Barbara Duhr, and Frank Miller; and many other extended family and friends who I know she will wish we mentioned.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Suzanne and Shirley; sons, Daniel Sperry, and Randy Mills; and grandchildren, Brandon and Brittany.

A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 pm, Monday, October 5, 2026, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel - Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Chaplain Greg Yount. A private entombment will be at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum.
