Arthur Eugene Wineland was a godly man whose faith in Jesus was the foundation of his life. He was hardworking, never afraid of a challenge, and always willing to lend a helping hand. From working at Ford Tractor and CLAAS Tractor, to being a realtor, and most recently a contractor, builder, and land developer, Art approached everything he did with determination, perseverance, and a strong work ethic.

Art was a devoted father to his four daughters and son, and nothing brought him greater joy than his family. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly, and they loved him just as deeply. His family will forever cherish the lessons he taught them, the memories they made together, and the love that filled their family gatherings. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, hard work, perseverance, laughter, adventure, and, most of all, love.

Born November 4, 1935, in Schugtown, Arkansas, a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather he went to be with Jesus on August 28, 2026, just 68 days before his 91st birthday.

Art was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years, Mary (Barlow) Wineland; parents Arthur and Hassie Wineland; siblings, Otis, Floyd/Odell, Ruby House, Marion, Charles, Dennis, and Patricia Wineland and his son, Lanny Wineland. He is survived by his brother Raymond (Terry) Wineland, and sisters, Fay Bryant and Diane Rodgers, along with four of his children, Jackie Parnell-(Steve) Wedge, Pam (Mark) Settles, Amy (Matt) Palella and Yuka Onaga; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 10 great- great-grandchildren.

He also had a heart for missions and was a frequent participant in mission trips throughout the United States and several other countries. Through the Assemblies of God, he traveled overseas to help establish new church buildings, while his work with MAPS (Missions America Placement Services) allowed him to assist Christian organizations in building, updating, and repairing their facilities. Serving others and helping wherever he was needed was simply part of who Art was.

Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we find comfort knowing he is with Jesus and reunited with his beloved wife, Mary and son, Lanny. We are thankful for the blessing of having known and loved such a special man. His earthly journey is complete, but the love he gave and the lives he touched will continue for generations to come.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Mountain Home Assembly of God Church.
