Arthur Albert “Art” Wallace of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on May 12, 1939, in Dover, Ohio, Art was the son of Bert and Elsie Solley Wallace. He was a graduate of the US Air Force Academy and honorably served as a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War. Art and family settled in Mountain Home in 1982 after he retired from the Air Force.

On November 30, 1993, he married Patsy Struthers in Orange County, California. A devoted member of his community, Art was actively involved with the Twin Lakes Baptist Church, Civil Air Patrol, Alley-White American Legion Post #52, Ozark VFW Post #3246, Clarkridge Volunteer Fire Department, and the Young at Heart group at Twin Lakes Baptist Church. He was also recognized by the Ohio Military Hall of Fame. Art enjoyed woodworking, audio-visual activities, reading, and bible study.

He is remembered by his two daughters, Dana (Mike) Scott of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Sara (Steve) Tipton of Jonesboro, Arkansas; his brother, Ed Wallace of Ohio; five cherished grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Art was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Elsie Wallace; his wife, Patsy Wallace; brothers, Travis and Terry Wallace; and sister, Pat Turner.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Art’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Twin Lakes Baptist Church, with Pastor Bill Hughes officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Air Force Academy Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Military Honors will be performed by the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 and the United States Air Force Honor Guards. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alley-White American Legion Post #52. Arrangements are entrusted to Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services of Mountain Home, Arkansas.
