Arlene K. Smith

Arlene K. Smith of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away May 16, 2025, at her home, at the age of 80. She was born July 24, 1944, in Logan, Kansas, the daughter of Franklin and Betty McGhghy Lamb. She attended flight attendant school and business school, where she learned shorthand. Arlene worked for many years as an administrative assistant. She lived in Mountain Home since moving from Sand Point, Idaho, in 2013. Arlene enjoyed hosting parties and entertaining her friends. She was an avid fan of car racing, a pastime she shared with her late husbands. Arlene especially loved her puppies.

Arlene is survived by her sisters, Twila (Dennis) Bonser of Mountain Home, AR, and Toya Autrey of Aurora, CO; brothers, Allen Lamb of Mustang, OK, and Eli Lamb of Portland, OR; stepsons, David and Tom Smith; and step nephews, James Tingelstad, and Greg and Richard Dones.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Bud Tingelstad; and husband, Tom Smith.

A Memorial Service for Arlene will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Travis Alexander officiating.
