Alyse Arlene Wade, 97, passed away on September 19, 2026 in Mountain Home. She was born on October 23, 1928 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to Henry Bennie and Gladys Evelyn Miller Schuler. Alyse earned her Master's of Education from Arkansas Agricultural and Mechanical College in Monticello, Arkansas. She dedicated more than 30 years teaching. After retirement, she volunteered at the nearby school to teach students English. Alyse lived in Mountain Home since moving from Colorado in 2015, and was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. She enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles, and sewing.

Alyse is survived by her daughter, Mary (Edwin) Stephens of Mountain Home, AR; son, Vincent "Lee" Youmans of Mountain Home, AR; grandchildren, Carlton (Tricia) Young, and Travis Young; and great-granddaughter, Sydney Young.

Alyse was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, David and Ward Smith.
